The Philippe Model Paris brand has its roots in the creative genius of the French designer and artist of the same name who has earned himself a leading position amongst the great names of fashion in the world. Philippe Model was born in Sens in 1956 into a family that owned an important company in the tanning sector. It was 1978 when at only 22, Philippe launched his brand and started to work with the most important couturiers in French fashion, including Jean-Paul Gaultier, Claude Montana and the creator of hats best loved by film stars,
Paulette. The consecration came in the early 1980s with his first iconic shoe, the Elastique, which became the symbol of a modern femininity anticipating the revolutionary concept of comfort of the future sneakers.
